Senior Manager, Learning Operations

Traye began his career with Daikin in 2011 as a Technical Support Analyst. He has over 20 years of industry experience. 10 of which were in the field as a service technician repairing equipment. Manager, Professional Development Training

Robin began her career with Daikin Applied over 35 years ago and has held many roles within Daikin Applied. She has knowledge of multiple generations of Daikin products and is a leader in the areas of business planning and execution. Kim Benson
Training / LMS Administrator

Kim began her career with Daikin Learning Institute in 2013. Here she has been instrumental in applying our LMS systems, scheduling training and managing logistics. Prior to joining Daikin Applied, Kim worked in hospitality as an event manager where she gained valuable experience in customer service and planning. Linda Custer
Training / LMS Administrator

Linda began her career with Daikin Applied over 26 years ago. She has spent 19 years working with the Daikin Learning Institute. With experience in scheduling, logistics and design, Linda has successfully managed all aspects of training administration. Linda was instrumental in the application and fulfillment of achieving accreditation through the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Steven Selgestad
Learning Operations Manager, Senior HVAC Instructor

Steve has over 40 years of experience in the industry, 25 of which has been working with Daikin Applied as a remote factory service technician, a regional trainer, and most recently the service training manager with the Daikin Learning Institute. Steve is a certified instructor for Daikin Screw, Centrifugal, and WMC and WME magnetic bearing chillers. Tony Blake
Senior HVAC Instructor

Tony has over 22 years of experience with Daikin. He joined Daikin Learning Institute transferring from the Daikin Applied Richmond Service office where he worked as a senior HVAC field service technician. He has worked as a Senior Technical Support Specialist in the Chiller Technical Response Center; has technical experience with chillers and practical experience in field service and customer relations; is bi-lingual and develops training programs and presentations in Spanish for our Latin American customers. Robert Hollembeak
Senior HVAC Instructor

Robert has over 45 years of experience in commercial and industrial HVACR, the last 20 years with Daikin Applied. He is a Certified Centrifugal, Rotary screw, Reciprocating, Scroll and MicroTech® chiller control instructor. He reviews and composes service literature and procedures; has participated in ASHRAE handbook review workshops; provides remote on-site customer training and global technical support. Larry Heyer
Senior HVAC Instructor

Larry started with Daikin Applied first as the Southeast Regional Service Trainer before joining Daikin Learning Institute. He has worked in service operations, supervision, nuclear power operation and formal technical training as a naval Instructor. He develops training programs and presentations. Jeff Johnson
Senior HVAC Instructor

Jeff is in his 5th year with Daikin. He came to us with over 30 years of experience in the industry. During his time here, Jeff has trained over 280 Engineers and Technicians on HVAC design theory; educated over 90 Graduate Engineer Trainees on the Design Principles of HVAC, Refrigeration, Airside Design and Chiller Plants; and has developed curriculum that makes complex theories easy to understand. Jim has over 21 years of experience in the commercial and industrial HVAC industry. He has experience in design, selection, installation, commissioning, and servicing of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
